Being a Christian is not something that just happens on a Sunday, It’s part of our daily lives. Midweek meetings in each other homes are a great opportunity to make some real and lasting friendships and to receive help and support from fellow Christians in all sorts of circumstances.
At Bidford-on-Avon Baptist Church we call our midweek meetings
Just what does “F-A-F” stand for? A good question ! We want the “F”’s to stand for lots of different things – fun, fellowship, faith, focus, friendship, following, frivolity, finding, food, fooling, to name but a few. If you like it could just be about F-A-Fing ! What’s for certain is that Jesus is at the centre of all we do, but each group has developed it’s own character and identity.
We have appointed Coordinators for each group. Their role is to coordinate venues, Bible study leaders, social events etc, etc. The Coordinators are also there to act as “shepherds to the flock”, to look out for people and make sure that they receive the love and support of the group and the wider church when needed. Each group has it’s own “prayer chain” and supports each other with prayer and practical friendship.
If you live in or around Bidford why not come along to a “F-A-Fgroup”. These groups generally meet on a Wednesday evening. We understand that not everybody can be free on Wednesday evening but there is a lot more to a F-A-F group than turning out on a Wednesday night. They are about being part of a the family of God in the area where we live.
